The beginning of the week began with the murder of a 17 year old young man named Mike Brown. In less than days from his death he would have been starting his Freshmen year of college. His opportunity at a better life was snatched away from him.
It is such a tragedy that a young black man lost his life again, to a police officer no less. I cannot understand why this police officer felt the need to shoot an unarmed young man pleading for his life. But I can understand why a white man would should a black man.
Through United States history black people have be idealized, conceptualized, and portrayed as a viable threat. Regardless of the face black people have had their humanity stripped away from them, in the year 2014 it is no excuse not to be treated as equals.
At the moment I cannot say more, I just wish safety for the peaceful protestors in Ferguson and peace for his Mike Brown's family.
